This is how i love my summer. Time is not an issue. In fact, i lost track of time because everyday seems like anyday. There's no difference between weekdays and weekends. Spent my weekday afternoon exploring Duxton Hill with Pristine. Good food + lovely conversations + great company with absolutely no time constraint, no deadlines to meet, no worries at the back of your head. As brunch is becoming more popular in Singapore, their price is getting steeper too. Among all the brunch cafes i have patronized, Selfish Gene Cafe is definitely one cafe worth going again. Unlike the higher end brunch cafes like Ryders, i would certainly prefer Selfish Gene Cafe. 1. Food is good. 2. Price is reasonable and affordable, especially for a student like me! So, there's no reason not going back!

| Beef Sandwich: $12.80: Roast beef, arugula, sweet onion marmalade, tomato confit, dijon mustard, mayonaise- sundried tomato bread. Loving the combination of roast beef and sweet onion marmalade.

Oh I heard their banana cakes are pretty good too. Looking at some reviews by other bloggers, their drinks are probably not as good as other cafes. So, we decided to skip the drinks and desert for our next cafe, The Plain Cafe!
